Product safety & restricted substances Seminar

The International Apparel Federation (IAF) seminar on product safety and restricted substances will be held at Texworld Paris. The seminar will inform participants from the apparel chain about the latest developments and regulations on these topics both in the USA and in the European Union. A perfect opportunity for apparel companies doing business in Europe and for companies working on the US market to get a high level view and update.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday February 9th, 2010, in Paris Le Bourget during the textiles fabric show Texworld 2010 from 9,30 till 18.00 hrs, room 3, Exhibition Centre.Speakers include specialists from VF, Adidas, Goretex, American & Efird, G-star, STR, Ökotex, Waalwear Kids, German Fashion, AAFA and MODINT.
 
The seminar in Paris will touch upon product safety and chemical management regulatory developments in the USA and the EU. Participants will be informed how to understand testing and how to implement a chemical management program. Furthermore views from the industry will be shared on what’s expected at retail and brand levels and the supply chain perspective also both USA and European. IAF is organizing this event in close cooperation with the AAFA (American Apparel & Footwear Association) and MODINT (Dutch trade association for fashion and interior textiles).
